Most hunts have their own traditions and hunt livery, i.e colour of hunt coats, collars and buttons. Depending on colour of coat, number of buttons, tails up or tails down on hats, you can usually tell who's who. Normally hunt staff wear full hunt livery at all times; they are also normally the only people to wear five button hunt coats. Masters wear four buttons on their coats, along with their tails down on the back of their hats. Hunt members wear the correct coloured coat depending on whether male or female but only three buttons.
We are often asked "what do we wear?" by people wishing to have a days hunting with us. So listed below are a few helpful tips.
Members:(you have been awarded your hunt buttons). Scarlet Hunt coat Grey collar SSB silver hunt buttons Black hats.
Subscibers: (you have paid your annual subs). Black Hunt coat Grey collar Black hat.
